Michigan State football is trending in the right direction to land a big-time safety from Ohio.
Three-star safety Reggie Powers went on an official visit to Michigan State this weekend and it apparently went really well. Following the visit, numerous crystal ball predictions came in for Powers in favor of Michigan State. Powers had previously been projected to end up at Ohio State.
Powers ranks as the No. 57 safety and No. 580 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2024 class. He hold offers from nearly 30 schools, including Michigan State, Ohio State, Cincinnati, Northwestern, Pitt, Duke, Iowa State, West Virginia and Virginia Tech.
There currently is no known commitment announcement date for Powers, but it seems like when he does commit that it’ll be to Michigan State. Keep an eye out on Powers and if the Spartans can lock up a commitment.
