It is no secret the new staff at Michigan State is here to recruit, and recruit very well. That sentiment showed again this morning when the Spartans were featured in 4-star wide receiver Tayshawn Trent’s top team’s list.
Trent’s list featured a top-8 that included the Spartans along with Michigan, Penn State, West Virginia, Louisville, Cincinnati, Kentucky and Indiana.

Tayshawn Trent is a big-bodied wide receiver, standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing just over 200 pounds. His ability to use his size to his advantage is a big reason why he was given a 4-star ranking. He is from Eastpointe, Michigan, and plays his high school football at Eastpointe High School.
Michigan State has yet to add a wide receiver in its 2021 recruiting class, but there is a possibility one or two are added before the February signing day. It is also expected that Mel Tucker and his staff want 3-5 players at the position in the 2022 recruiting class.
It is going to be an exciting year to follow Michigan State’s football recruiting.
