MSU football doesn’t receive any votes in AP Top 25 preseason poll

Like the coaches, the media isn’t very high on the Spartans either entering the 2023 season.

Last week, Michigan State received no votes in the USA TODAY Sports preseason top 25 poll and on Monday the same thing occurred in the Associated Press (AP) preseason top 25 poll. This, of course, shouldn’t come as a big surprise though after a 5-7 campaign in 2022.

There are four teams listed in the preseason top 10 that Michigan State will play this upcoming season: Michigan (No. 2), Ohio State (No. 3), Penn State (No. 7) and Washington (No. 10). Iowa is also on the Spartans schedule and ranked in the preseason at No. 25.
