Michigan State’s future quarterback is starting to gain some more national recognition on the recruiting trail.
Katin Houser — a 2022 quarterback prospect committed to Michigan State — was one of a handful recruits in the class that noticed a big jump in the updated Rivals player rankings on Tuesday. Houser — who was previously a three-star recruit — bumped all the way up to the No. 105 overall prospect in the class. He also is now rated as a four-star recruit, according to Rivals.
Here’s what national recruiting analyst Adam Friedman had to say about Houser:
Evaluating Houser has been a difficult task because of the shortened spring season in California and his limited opportunities for camps but he made the most of his chances. The Michigan State commit is more athletic than originally thought and he has plenty of arm strength. Houser is mechanically sound and doesn’t seem to get rattled in high pressure situations.
