Michigan State commit Pierre Brooks will play the first of many important games on the Breslin Center floor this Saturday after leading his high school squad to the MHSAA state finals.
Brooks scored 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Detroit Frederick Douglass past Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart, 60-41, in Thursday’s Division 4 state seminfinals match-up. Brooks and the Hurricanes will take on Wyoming Tri-unity Christian on Saturday at 10 a.m. from the Breslin Center.

Brooks has been extremely impressive during these state playoffs, and is proving why Michigan State will be welcoming him to the program next season. Brooks is the No. 66 overall recruit in the 2021 class and No. 12 small forward prospect.
Saturday’s state championship game featuring Brooks will be televised on Fox Sports Detroit.
