MSU commit, 4-star CB Jamari Howard to take official visit to Florida in June

The Spartans’ top commit in the 2024 class will reportedly be taking an official visit to Florida next month

The Spartans’ top commit in the 2024 class will reportedly be taking an official visit to Florida next month.

Four-star cornerback Jamari Howard of Hialeah, Fla. will be taking an official visit to Florida during the weekend of June 2. Howard has also been reportedly getting a lot of attention from Florida State and is considered a top flip target for both the Gators and Seminoles at the moment.

Howard ranks as the No. 8 cornerback and No. 75 overall prospect in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2024 class. He’s also listed as the No. 11 player from the state of Florida.

Howard has been committed to Michigan State since last September and is a massive get for the Spartans in the 2024 class. He will also be taking an official visit to Michigan State in June — the following weekend after his trip to Florida.

It’s expected for big-time recruits like Howard to go on visits to other elite programs, such as Florida. So this in itself is not alarming but does show that Michigan State will have to continue to put forth a strong effort in Howard’s recruitment if they’d like to keep him as a Spartans commit.
