Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson is universally regarded as one of the best shooters of all time, and the five-time NBA All-Star recently left a teammate impressed with his recent workout.
Warriors rookie Moses Moody had the opportunity to watch Thompson go through some shooting drills as he nears a return to the court following Achilles surgery in November 2020. He has been increasing his rehab and could be ready at some point early in the season to play.
Moody took part in an interview with Jim Rome on Friday and provided an update on how Thompson’s shot has been looking during some of his recent workouts.
Man, it looks different in person. That was obviously my first time seeing it. But watching that repetition, that exact same shot every one, I mean I sat there and watched him shoot for 20 minutes, and it didn’t touch the rim a lot, I can say that. He is a very consistent shooter and just seeing that repetition of the same shot over and over again.
Of course, the return of Thompson will give the Warriors a huge boost on the court as they look to make a deep run next season. They will certainly be cautious with his return after two severe lower-body injuries but the early report on Thompson appears to be promising for the team.
