Notre Dame opposing quarterbacks have learned to be careful when throwing in the direction of cornerback [autotag]Benjamin Morrison[/autotag]. If they’re not, he easily can pick that throw off and return it for six points the other way. Fortunately for them, he’s only done that once in his collegiate career.
Still, Morrison’s bursts of speed have caught the attention of those creating the ratings for EA Sports College Football 25. In fact, only three players in all of college football are seen as faster than him according to the player ratings:
Fastest players in #CFB25
1. Tez Johnson (Oregon)
2. Evan Stewart (Oregon)
3. Travis Hunter (Colorado)
4. Benjamin Morrison (Notre Dame)
5. Billy Bowman Jr (Oklahoma)
6. Luther Burden III (Missouri)
7. Nicholas Singleton (Penn State)
8. Treveyon Henderson (Ohio State)
9. Malki…— EA College Football 25 Countdown (@DaysTillNCAA) July 10, 2024
The Irish don’t play anybody on this list during the regular season, so at least through that point, Morrison will be the fastest player on the field in every game barring injury. Opposing offensive coordinators will be aware of that and therefore must figure out how to minimize his impact. This, of course, might be easier said than done as you simply can’t teach talent.
