The San Antonio Spurs are in a perfect position to rebuild their roster around Victor Wembanyama. The 19-year-old rookie has all the talent in the world and seems ready to take over as the face of the franchise moving forward. All the Spurs have to do is develop their young talent and be ready to add more when the time calls for it.
This summer, they added some solid veterans to bolster their nucleus around Wembanyama, but the moves also give them some salary to toss around in trades if that’s the route they decide to take. They could get super creative.
Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report recently wrote an article detailing some deals every team could make if they want to ditch the worst contract on their roster. One trade involving the Spurs would be a deal with the Brooklyn Nets.
