Now that 2023 is here, it’s time to ponder a mock trade for the Brooklyn Nets and evaluate its viability for the franchise. In an article published earlier this week by Hoopshabit.com, there was a hypothetical trade proposed that could be an attempt in making the Nets a better team.
Before we get into the mock trade, it should be noted that the Nets are currently on an 11-game winning streak and have won 11 of their past 12 games. In the team’s most recent game, a 123-106 win over the Charlotte Hornets on New Years Eve, the Nets had their fourth wire-to-wire win this season.
Against the Hornets, Brooklyn took care of business from the opening tip and led by as many as 22 points in the contest. However, Charlotte out-rebounded the Nets and was able to score at will in the paint. Even though starting center Nic Claxton has been great for the Nets this season, he is the team’s only true big.
