Prediction
Seattle Sounders 2, Columbus Crew SC 0
Money line (ML)
SEATTLE SOUNDERS (+155) is the play in the MLS Cup, as the host Columbus Crew SC (+175) will be without two key players – Nagbe and Santos.
It’s a battle of the titans, and the Crew might have still been able to pull this off if they had a raucous crowd on their side. But the crowd will be muted, and so will be their performance.
Seattle has won three in a row, and is coming off a rousing 3-2 comeback victory over the Minnesota United in the Western Conference Final. The Sounders will ride the wave of that emotion to another title, their third in the past five years.
Over/Under (O/U)
UNDER 2.5 (-105) is the lean here. We only have one head-to-head matchup to go off of this calendar year as these sides played to a 1-1 draw back in Seattle March 8, before a lively crowd at Century Link Field pre-COVID. Three of the past five matchups in this series have seen a total of two or fewer goals.
