The San Francisco Giants held on to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers, 1-0, on a very windy night in LA last night.
That wind likely robbed the Dodgers of a game-tying home run in the bottom of the ninth.
But you know what also robbed the Dodgers in their loss that now puts their 106-season on the brink of being over? A ridiculous catch by Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford, who flew high off the ground to make a grab on a Mookie Betts liner in the bottom of the seventh that would have likely scored a run and maybe led to LA taking the lead later in the inning.
Instead, this catch ended the inning and kept the Giants in front.
