Missouri shuts out Lady Vols in the SEC Tournament semifinals.

Third-seeded Tennessee was eliminated from the Southeastern Conference softball tournament Friday in Gainesville, Florida.

The Lady Vols lost a 3-0 decision to No. 7 Missouri at KSP Stadium.

Tennessee (39-16) outhit the Tigers, 6-4, in the contest, but all of Missouri’s hits went for extra bases and three were solo home runs in the tournament semifinals.

The Tigers (36-19) led 1-0 when Kimberly Wert homered in the fourth inning.

Hatti Moore added a home run in the fifth inning before the game was delayed by lightning.

Kara Daly hit a home run in the seventh inning to make it, 3-0.

Tennessee starter Erin Edmoundson (19-7) recorded a loss as she pitched 6.1 innings and surrendered three runs and four hits. She struck out six.

Ryleigh White recorded the final two outs in the top of the seventh inning.

Missouri’s Jordan Weber (15-6) pitched a complete game. She yielded six hits and struck out one over seven innings.
