Miles Bridges’ filthy dunk made the Hornets play-by-play announcer lose his mind

“MY MIND IS BLOWN!”

Miles Bridges served up the biggest dunk we’ve seen in some time for the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday, and it made play-by-play announcer Eric Collins go wild.

In the dying seconds of the second quarter of the Hornets match against the Portland Trail Blazers — with Charlotte leading 63-51 — Bridges took the ball from nearly half court straight through to the basket. With no one to defend him, Bridges went up and over CJ McCollum’s head for the stylish one-handed dunk.

It was a great play made even better by Collins’ call, who predictably lost his mind on the dunk.

“MY MIND IS BLOWN! MILES BRIDGES, HOW DO YOU DO?”

This isn’t the first time Collins’ enthusiasm has made a play stand out even more so than normal. In fact, it’s the reason Collins is so beloved as a play-by-play announcer for Charlotte.

As long as Bridges and the Hornets continue to serve up mind-blowing plays, Collins will be there to go wild on them.
