Jets quarterback Mike White was cleared by doctors Monday and will play Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, per Brian Costello of the New York Post.

White missed the last two games due to fractured ribs suffered in Week 14 against the Bills, missing the losses against the Lions and Jaguars.

Jets fans are getting a late Christmas gift with the news, especially with the Jets still in playoff contention thanks to losses by the Patriots, Raiders and Dolphins in Week 16.

If New York defeats Seattle and Miami defeats New England in Week 17, then all the Jets need to do is win in Miami in Week 18 and they will be on the playoffs. Having White at quarterback makes those odds better than they would have been with Zach Wilson under center.
