Mike Triplett of ESPN thinks Bucs are perfect landing spot for QB Teddy Bridgewater

See why Mike Triplett of ESPN thinks QB Teddy Bridgewater could end up in Tampa Bay once free agency opens.

While NFL teams are closely watching the draft prospects participating in the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine, free agency is just around the corner, and this year’s market is sure to have some big names.

One of those is New Orleans Saints quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who went 5-0 last season in place of the injured Drew Brees. But, with Brees recently announcing his decision to return in 2020, it appears as though the Saints are ready to let Bridgewater leave and test free agency.

So, where will he land? According to Mike Triplett of ESPN, he thinks the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would be a great landing spot for the quarterback, who Bruce Arians, himself, has admitted to liking.

Per Triplett:

“This is actually the team that came up most in speculation among people I talked to at the combine. Although Bridgewater seems to go against coach Bruce Arians’ “no risk it, no biscuit” approach, Arians has made no secret that Winston’s 30 interceptions in 2019 were unacceptable. And he has left open the possibility that the Bucs will consider alternatives in free agency for a team that is ready to contend now with star receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin and a rising defense.”

What do you think Bucs fans? Do you think Bridgewater would really be that much of an upgrade over Winston? Also, would you rather take Teddy Bridgewater in Year 1 under Bruce Arians or Jameis Winston in Year 2? I’d be more inclined to roll the dice with Winston, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
