Mike McDaniel was so fired up after Jevon Holland’s Hail Mary pick-6 that he forgot about the extra point

Coaches had to remind him about the PAT.

There is no coach in the NFL who is more entertaining to watch (and listen to) than Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel. He’s hilarious even when he isn’t trying to be, which makes NFL Films’ decision to show the Dolphins on the in-season edition of Hard Knocks look amazing.

Case in point: Just watch how he reacted to Jevon Holland’s pick-6 on Friday.

With the Jets attempting one more play before halftime, Tim Boyle’s pass into the end zone was intercepted by Holland and returned 99 yards for a touchdown. The play completely changed the game, and nobody was more excited about it than McDaniel.

He started sprinting towards the tunnel to lead his players into the locker room. And he actually had to be reminded by coaches that they still had an extra point to kick. Hey, he was excited. We can’t blame him.

NFL fans also enjoyed the footage from Hard Knocks. It’s impossible to have boring television when McDaniel is involved.
