Mike Mayock slams door on Antonio Brown return ‘he had his time with the Raiders’

Lately, Antonio Brown has been teasing that he thinks/hopes for a return to the Raiders. From saying that he just spoke to Jon Gruden recently (whatever that means) to literally wearing a Raiders hat in a picture he posted on Twitter, adding “I wore my Raiders hat just in case 2nd chances.”

The problem is Mike Mayock has memory. He sees trading for Antonio Brown as the biggest mistake he’s made as a GM thus far. He rightfully points to what happened with Brown as the primary reason the Raiders wide receiver corps was such a mess last season and is the biggest need heading into this draft. He also probably has pretty fresh recollection of Brown calling him a Cracker and threatening to hit him in the face.

“Antonio Brown, I have very little comment about,” Mayock said. “I think he had his time with the Raiders and I think his time there is up.”

That’s about as definitive an answer as you’ll ever see from Mayock.

And with the way Brown acted during his brief time with the Raiders and the way he celebrated after the team granted his demand to be released, he is clearly suffering from a combination of desperation and delusion if he thinks they would welcome him back with open arms.
