Mike Evans was set to become one of the top NFL free agents this offseason … and now, he’s off the board.
Per reports, he signed a two-year deal to stay with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with $35 million guaranteed, a sizeable payday for a player who is the ultimate safety net — you know that every year, he’s going to end up above 1,000 yards receiving with a bunch of touchdowns. There’s obviously so much value in that even with him now 30 years old.
Evans celebrated the re-signing with a simple Instagram message that went up after the news broke on Monday: “Fire them cannons!”
