Michigan vs. UConn: Three keys to a Michigan football victory

Should be another fun week for Michigan!

The No. 4 Wolverines will be hosting Connecticut on Saturday for their third-straight home game to start the season.

UConn is out to 1-2 start to the season after finishing 1-11 the previous year. The Huskies lost to both Utah State and Syracuse while defeating Central Connecticut in Week 1.

Both teams are using their backup quarterbacks from the first game of the season – for two entirely different reasons. As we all know, Michigan entered the season with a quarterback battle and sophomore J.J. McCarthy won the job after last week against Hawaii. The Huskies, on the other hand, lost starter  Ta’Quan Roberson in Week 0, so UConn will trot out freshman Zion Turner against the maize and blue.

Not only is Michigan at home for three-straight weeks, but the Wolverines are huge favorites against the Huskies. Something catastrophic would need to happen for the maize and blue to lose this game, but that’s why the games are played.

Here are our three keys to a Michigan victory.
