Not very many positives came from the MSU-Rutgers game, but the one bright spot was the defense. Although they allowed 38 points, most of the points came from good field position after turnovers. The defense only allowed 276 yards, and forced three turnovers, but the offense let them down.
As far as singular performances, Drew Beesley was recognized by PFF College this week as he made the PFF’s Defensive Line of the Week. He was joined by Houston’s Chidozie Nwankwo, SMU’s Elijah Chatman, and Penn State’s Jayson Oweh.
