2020 has been tough on everyone, but from a football perspective, it’s been brutal for Michigan State Football wide receiver CJ Hayes. Hayes had foot surgery back at the start of the year, and was unfortunately forced to have surgery again this week.
CJ Hayes and his father Carl both tweeted about the surgery today, although no more specifics were given as to what the actual injury was. Carl Hayes noted that this will be his son’s second surgery in 8 months.
Praying for my big little man @cjhayes98 as he undergoes 2nd surgery in 8 months 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Major comeback coming soon!!@MSU_Football#GoGreen #Melyeah— Carl Hayes (@CJS_DAD_4) October 13, 2020
This is especially brutal as Hayes was poised to compete for a role in a revamped Spartans passing game this year that was bound to have plenty of opportunities.
I appreciate all the thoughts prayers, aiming for a quick recovery. GO GREEN💚
