Michigan State has extended a scholarship offer to one of the top cornerbacks in the 2023 class.
The Spartans have offered four-star cornerback Jordan Matthews of Baton Rouge, La., according to his Twitter page. Matthews plays for Woodlawn High and is considered to be one of the top cornerback prospects in the 2023 class.
Matthews is ranked as the No. 13 cornerback and No. 115 overall prospect in the 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2023 class.
The Spartans are only the latest big-time school to extend Matthews an offer, with the top prospect already holding 19 scholarship offers, according to 247Sports. Other schools that have offered him include LSU, Cal, Georgia, Florida State, Michigan, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M.
