One of Michigan State’s top remaining 2021 recruiting targets has put the Spartans in his top six.
Farmington point guard Jaden Akins listed MSU in his top six with Michigan, Florida, DePaul, Northwestern, and Mississippi State.

Akins, a four-star player, is rated as the No. 71 prospect in the country by the 247Sports composite rankings. He is the number two player in the state of Michigan behind current MSU commit Pierre Brooks. The Spartans are heavily favored to land the springy six-foot-three PG, as all ten of the analyst predictions between 247Sports and Rivals are for MSU.
Michigan State’s 2021 recruiting class–consisting of the aforementioned Brooks and five-star shooting guard Max Christe–is currently ranked No. 5 in the country, but could jump to the top spot if Akins does indeed go green.
