New Michigan State Football head coach Mel Tucker’s roster overhaul continues.

Tucker has not been shy about his desire to revamp the Spartans’ roster and that has been extremely evident as ten players have now entered the transfer portal since the start of the season. The latest? Former fullback and current tight end Max Rosenthal. The news was first reported by Rainer Sabin of the Detroit Free Press.

Rosenthal was brought in by Mark Dantonio as a walk-on fullback, but switched to tight end when Dantonio stopped using that position. He has scored two career touchdowns but didn’t see any action in 2020, making his departure not much of a surprise.
