It goes without saying that there are still quite a few question marks surrounding the start date of the college football season, but as of right now, the Michigan State Football team is scheduled to host Northwestern on September 5th in Spartan Stadium, and that means it is officially betting odds season once again! In the first betting odds of the 2020 season, which were posted by Circa Sports, the Spartans are slight underdogs against Northwestern at home and listed at +1.

The odds were first posted, from what I saw, by Circa Sports:

Since MSU is at home, this is probably one of the more surprising opening week odds and I have already seen some people voicing their surprise at this, but it’s not entirely too surprising. Many are expecting this to be a 4 or 5 win football season while new head coach Mel Tucker rebuilds the roster. That remains to be seen, but given that this is the preeminent sentiment surrounding the team, I’m not surprised that Vegas is favoring Northwestern.
