Michigan State football has extended a scholarship offer to one of the top athletes in the 2023 class.
Lewis Carter of Tampa, Fla. announced on Friday that he’s received a scholarship offer from the Spartans. Carter plays for Tampa Catholic, and is rated as a four-star prospect in the class.
Carter is ranked as the No. 119 overall prospect and No. 8 linebacker in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2023 class.
Along with his offer from Michigan State, Carter has received scholarship offers from 40 other schools. The list of schools interested in Carter includes Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami (FL), Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee and USC.
