Michigan State has taken a slight dip in Joe Lunardi’s latest Bracketology.

Lunardi released an updated bracket projection on ESPN on Tuesday morning, with the Spartans sitting as a No. 5 seed in the East Region. In this projection, the Spartans would face the winner of Colorado State-Richmond.

In Lunardi’s first batch of bracketology last month, the Spartans were a No. 4 seed so Michigan State has moved down one seed line in the past few weeks. I’m guessing that is in relation to the recent roster changes, including Aaron Henry declaring for the 2021 NBA Draft.

Other Big Ten teams listed in Lunardi’s updated batch of bracketology are Michigan (No. 1 seed), Purdue (No. 2 seed), Ohio State (No. 2 seed), Maryland (No. 3 seed), Illinois (No. 6 seed), Indiana (No. 7 seed),  and Iowa (No. 11 seed). Joey brackets has Northwestern and Wisconsin as two of the “Next Four Out” as well.
