Michigan State basketball picked up one of the keys wins of their annual calendar when they were able to hold off Michigan at home to win their first match-up of the year with the Wolverines. That win helped earn them a few more votes in the latest AP poll, which came out on Monday.
The Spartans are now up to 24 votes in the poll, which is a 19 vote increase from last week’s poll.
Wisconsin, who the Spartans play on Tuesday, is at No. 18. A win over the Badgers on the road should be enough to push MSU into the top-25.
