Tom Izzo has already assembled quite the 2022 recruiting class for Michigan State Basketball with the addition of 5-stars Emoni Bates and Enoch Boakye (although both players could still reclassify to 2021). It doesn’t look like Izzo is content to rest on his laurels and is still out on the recruiting trail recruiting high-level talent for the 2022 class. The latest recruiting target for Izzo is 4-star St. Louis power forward Tarris Reed Jr. out of Chaminade High School.

Tarris Reed is a 6’10”, 230 lbs forward and the top player in the state of Missouri for 2022. He is a top 100 player who is ranked No. 16 at his position by the 247Sports rankings.

Reed’s head coach at Chaminade Frank Bennett had this to say about the star power forward:

“Tarris is a load, he can score down low, he’s very physical and to be honest with you he’s just scratching the surface which is really exciting,” he told KSDK in St. Louis.

Reed announced the offer on Thursday night. You can check out his highlights here.

Reed already has additional offers out from Creighton, Kansas State, Missouri, Nebraska, Saint Louis, Xavier, and Kansas, and you can expect more to roll in as his recruitment heats up.
