Michigan State basketball makes top seven for Tyler McKinley

MSU is in good position for one of the top centers in the 2024 recruiting class

Michigan State has been hot on the recruiting trail and Tom Izzo is looking to continue that trend. The Spartans have to massive commits in Kur Teng and Jesse McCulloch in their 2024 class and they are looking to add.

Tyler McKinley is one of the prospects that are on the Spartans radar. McKinley is a center from Cincinnati, but is playing high school basketball at Link Academy in Missouri.

McKinley is down to seven schools and the Spartans have made the cut alongside Xavier, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Cincinnati, Alabama and Tennessee.

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, McKinley is a 4-star prospect and the No. 60 overall player, as well as the No. 10 center in the 2024 recruiting class.
