The University of Michigan’s athletic department has been struck by an outbreak of the coronavirus. After a positive test of the new variant, Michigan’s whole athletic department has been shut down for two weeks.
The shut down of the Michigan athletic department has resulted in the postponement of the February 6th game between the Spartans and Wolverines. The Spartans themselves are coming off of a shutdown that had resulted in multiple postponements over the last couple of weeks.

The Spartans and Wolverines men’s teams also have a game on March 7th to close out the season. Michigan State basketball hopes to get back on the floor this Thursday, the 28th, against Rutgers.
