Michigan State basketball is getting a new freshman point guard next season in 4-star Jaden Akins, and if any MSU fans are in the Memphis area in May, they can go get an early look at him in action. It was announced on Tuesday that Akins will participate in the 2021 Iverson Classic.
Akins will be coached by Rasheed Wallace and Bonzi Wells and will play alongside the No. 1 player in the 2021 class, Chet Holmgren. The opposing team will also be interesting as the nation’s top female high school basketball player, Raven Johnson, will suit up for Stephen Jackson’s squad.
The event will take place on May 7 and 8 and will include a dunk contest, 3-on-3 games, and more.
