If yesterday was the Malik Hall game, today’s win by Michigan State basketball over No. 22 UConn in the Battle 4 Atlantis was the Julius Marble and Gabe Brown show. The Spartans beat UConn 64-60 in a hard fought game.

Brown had a 16 point, 10 rebound double-double and Marble added 15 points and 4 rebounds and added a lot of much needed physicality to the Spartans’ attack. AJ Hoggard added 5 assists, including some heroic playmaking in the late stages of the game.

On the UConn side, this definitely looks like a different team than what we’ve seen in recent years from the Huskies. Adama Sanogo was extremely impressive, racking up 18 points and 10 rebounds. Tyrese Martin also impressed, scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds.

MSU will face the winner of VCU vs. Baylor on Friday at 11am PT.
