Could Michigan football bring in a rare three TE class in 2022? If the Wolverines have their way, they will.

The maize and blue already have commitments from Rabun Gap (GA) Nacoochee School three-star tight end Marlin Klein as well as Gooding (ID) three-star Colston Loveland — the latter of which is an emerging player with some elite SEC-level offers — but they’re looking to get a big prize out of SEC country.

Cumming (GA) West Forsyth four-star tight end Oscar Delp reportedly grew up a Michigan fan, and though he’s from in-state Georgia, he preferred the Wolverines over the Bulldogs. However, both schools are in contention for his services, and both will have to fight it out with both Clemson and South Carolina, as those four programs comprise his final four, he released on Thursday.

Michigan has but one vote in its favor in the 247Sports Crystal Ball, with the other seven votes indicating Georgia will be his destination of choice. However, all of the predictions were made six-plus months ago, before he got the chance to visit college campuses.

Delp is rated by 247Sports’ proprietary rankings as the 70th-best player in the country, regardless of position, the No. 2 tight end in 2022 and the seventh-best player in the state of Georgia.
