Michigan football makes top 12 for 2024 4-star DL

Will the NJ to A2 pipeline return? #GoBlue

Some years back, Michigan football made the state of New Jersey such a priority, the mantra became ‘NJ 2 AA pipeline.’ The Wolverines pillaged the Garden State, taking five stars Jabrill Peppers and Rashan Gary, while also reeling in Michael Dwumfour, Drew Singleton, Brad Hawkins, and Cesar Ruiz.

The maize and blue haven’t made quite as much noise in New Jersey in recent years, but with former Paramus (N.J.) Catholic head coach Chris Partridge returning to Ann Arbor to coach linebackers, the Wolverines are working overtime to get some top prospects from the East Coast back to the Great Lakes State.

One such prospect is Jordan Thomas, a four-star defensive lineman from Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco in the 2024 recruiting class. He revealed his top 12 on Friday, and Michigan made the cut along with Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Texas A&M, South Carolina, Oregon, Auburn, Rutgers, Miami, Penn State, and LSU.

Thomas is rated a four-star prospect and 247Sports’ proprietary rankings have him listed as the No. 96 player in the country, regardless of position. He’s also rated as the top player in the state of New Jersey.

He’s listed at 6-foot-5, 296-pounds. There are no predictions as of yet as to where he’ll end up. He’s set to make his official visit to Ann Arbor on June 9.
