Michigan football loses a prized 2024 edge rusher to Miami

Huge bummer.

Michigan football is still in the business of getting bad news on the recruiting trail, apparently.

The 2024 class got a little smaller on Saturday with a surprising defection. The maize and blue long trended for edge rusher Elias Rudolph, who had transferred to Deerfield Beach (Fla.) but was set to return to Cincinnati (Ohio) Taft. He returned to the Buckeye State to announce he would be playing for the Wolverines over Miami and Ohio State.

However, the Hurricanes had the last laugh, with Rudolph announcing just over a month after his commitment that he’s flipping to Miami after all.

Michigan is now down to 27 commits and will likely be in search of an edge rusher.
