Michigan football in top five for 2024 elite 4-star edge defender

The four-star edge defender put #Michigan in his top five, and will visit the Wolverines in June.

Michigan football continues to tear up the 2024 recruiting cycle. The Wolverines recently landed the services of linebacker Cole Sullivan who picked Michigan over rival Notre Dame.

It’s only May and Michigan currently has 17 commitments for the 2024 cycle and the maize and blue have plenty of other recruits that are either predicted to go to the Wolverines, or have high interest in Michigan. It appears the Wolverines aren’t slowing down anytime soon.

One of those players who has a big-time interest in Michigan is 2024 four-star edge defender, Elias Rudolph. On Sunday, he put the Wolverines in his top five with Penn State, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, and Cincinnati.

Rudolph, who originally played high school football at Cincinnati (Ohio) Taft, is now finishing his senior season in Deerfield Beach (Florida). According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Rudolph is the 230th-ranked prospect in the country. He is the 20th-ranked edge defender and the 36th-best prospect in Florida. Rudolph has the size to compete at the next level standing at 6-foot-4 and 205-pounds.

There is currently one Crystal Ball on Rudolph to land at Ohio State, which is from an Ohio State insider. According to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Buckeyes are leading with a 41% chance to land Rudolph with Michigan in second with 20.7%.

Rudolph is slated to take an official visit to Ann Arbor on June 9.
