Michigan football dips back into NJ powerhouse to offer elite 2024 DT

Michigan football is still seeking some elite talent along the defensive line in 2024. While it works to woo five-star DT Justin Scott, it’s still working the recruiting boards, seeing if there’s more talent out there that wants to wear a winged helmet.

One of the Wolverines’ latest offers is to a high-profile player at one of the premier high schools in the state of New Jersey. 2024 Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep four-star defensive tackle Jordan Thomas is rated the No. 139 player in the country according to the 247Sports Composite and is listed at 6-foot-5, 296-pounds. And on Wednesday, he announced that he’s officially received an offer from Michigan football.

Thomas has an impressive offer list, including Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Miami, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Rutgers, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and West Virginia, among others.

Unsurprisingly, as the former liaison for the maize and blue to the state of New Jersey in his prior tenure, prodigal linebackers coach Chris Partridge is the primary recruiter for Thomas.
