Michigan basketball’s Jumpman Invitational opponent is revealed for 2023

Should be a good one! #GoBlue

The 2022 NCAA basketball season featured the first annual Jumpman Invitational.

The tournament is played in Charlotte at the Spectrum Center and it hosted both men’s and women’s college teams. The four teams that participated last season were Michigan, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Florida.

In 2022, the Michigan men’s team got beat by the Tar Heels 80-76, but the Wolverines’ lady squad took down North Carolina.

According to Jon Rothstein, all four teams are set to play in the tournament once again in 2023. The invitational features four programs that are outfitted with the “Air Jordan” brand.

In 2023, the maize and blue will take on the Florida Gators in the premier tournament. Michigan has faced Florida three times in program history. The maize and blue are 2-1 against the Gators and have defeated them the last two times — both times being in the NCAA Tournament.

Michigan nor Flordia made the Big Dance this past season, and both will be looking for early marquee wins this season to pad their resumes before conference games begin.
