Mic’d-up George Kittle felt so left out when he wasn’t initially invited to have a turkey leg on NBC

Nobody was stopping George Kittle from getting turkey.

One of the bigger downsides of playing on Thanksgiving for NFL players — besides the short week — has to be missing out on regular Thanksgiving celebrations with family. Instead of watching football, they’re playing football. But NBC at least awards a few of the winning players with a postgame turkey leg.

George Kittle was absolutely determined to be among that lucky crew.

Following the Niners’ 31-13 win over the Seahawks at Lumen Field, Kittle noticed that Christian McCaffrey and Jake Moody were invited to partake in that postgame interview and turkey dinner. With some extra encouragement from Fred Warner, Kittle was going to be at that table no matter what.

He asked for permission, which was granted, and had himself a turkey leg.

We’re glad someone let Kittle be a part of it because him running around with the platter was too good. After all, how many opportunities is he going to get to enjoy a postgame Thanksgiving meal? Not many as a non-Lions/Cowboys player. Regardless of what he did in that game, Kittle deserved to be at that table.
