Mic’d-up baseball player astonishingly predicted his defensive play right before it happened

OK, that was wild.

Bill LeRoy is quickly becoming a Savannah Bananas legend.

The Bananas play in the Coastal Plain League — a summer wood bat league for college players — and they play off the hilarious name with a rowdy in-game atmosphere. LeRoy has been a huge part of that this season.

Last month, LeRoy went viral when he introduced himself before an at-bat with a microphone in hand. He tossed the mic back to the dugout before stepping into the box and earning a walk.

He had another wild moment on Saturday.

LeRoy was mic’d up with the team’s broadcast for an in-game conversation with the commentators. The University of North Georgia catcher was playing at third that game and he told the broadcast what was going to happen with his defensive play *right* before it actually happened.

LeRoy told the broadcast:

“Gonna roll it over, gonna back hand it on the second hop. And Manny Machado underhand throw (to first).”

You could hear LeRoy say “oh my God” as what he just predicted started to unfold the moment he finished his sentence. He fielded the ball on the second hop, did the Machado underhand throw and got the out at first. Even LeRoy couldn’t believe it. He called the play right perfectly.

The Bananas would also go on to win in extras on a walk-off walk.
