Money line (ML)
The Lakers (-500) are monster money line favorites over the Heat (+375) on Friday evening. Miami will likely be without two of their top three players in PG Goran Dragic and C Bam Adebayo and that has impacted this line greatly.
Los Angeles held a 30-point lead at one point over Miami in Game 1 and the talent and size differential that will be the court in Game 2 will be significant. However, there isn’t enough value on the Lakers’ Moneyline here to pick them, so PASS on this bet in favor of the point spread.
Line/Against the spread (ATS)
The Lakers -9.5 (-110) are nearly double-digit favorites over the HEAT +9.5 (-110) in Game 2. Los Angeles has been on a roll ATS as of late, covering or pushing eight of their previous ten games. However, Miami has been fantastic as well, going 12-4 in their last 16 games ATS.
The Lakers are likely to win this game given all of the Heat’s injuries, but expect Miami to make some adjustments on the offensive end and keep this close. Don’t be surprised if this game comes down to the final few possessions with the Heat ultimately covering in the final minutes of the contest.
Over/Under (O/U)
The total for Game 2 of the 2019-2020 NBA Finals is set at 216.5 (-110) points, which feels about right considering the offensive weapons the Heat will be without in this game.
Both teams shot well from the three-point line in Game 1, but each side would like to shoot a higher percentage around the rim, as well. Look for Miami to shoot even more threes in this contest as they won’t have the size inside to compete with Los Angeles. That should lead to a high-scoring game in which both teams score into the 110s.
Take the OVER 216.5 (-110)in Game 2 as this figures to be a faster-paced game with more guards on the floor for Miami.
