Miami Heat at Sacramento Kings odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Miami Heat at Sacramento Kings odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Sacramento Kings (0-4) welcome the Miami Heat (2-4) to Golden 1 Center Saturday. Tip is set for 6 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Heat vs. Kings odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Kings are coming into this game as 1 of 2 winless teams left in the NBA with both (other being the Lakers) in the Western Conference. Sacramento is 2-2 against the spread (ATS) though.

It is led by G De’Aaron Fox, who is averaging 30.5 points per game this season and shooting a remarkable 59% from the field and 42.5% from 3-point range.

As for the Heat, they are coming off a road loss to the Warriors Thursday. They have lost all 4 of their games by at least 7 points and have had just 1 finish within a 6-point margin.

Miami is led offensively by G Jimmy Butler, but the strength of this team is in its defensive identity, which is spearheaded by Butler and C Bam Adebayo.

Heat at Kings picks and predictions

Prediction

Kings 112, Heat 109

Moneyline

BET KINGS (+133).

The Heat have typically been known for their defense, but they have allowed 109 or more points in 4 of 6 games this season. G Kyle Lowry is aging, and G Tyler Herro isn’t a stud on that end of the court.

The Kings have a better defensive rating than the Heat, and while their defense isn’t as good, at home, I would rather back the team that can play offense and rebound as Miami sits 23rd in the NBA in defensive rebounding rate.

Turnover rate also goes the Kings’ way as they rank 14th compared to Miami’s 20th. Sacramento’s defense hasn’t looked good, but without many efficient, big-time scoring options, the Heat may not be able to capitalize.

Just like Orlando did yesterday, taking on a mid-tier team in your conference at home gives way for good moneyline odds to reign in your first victory. Expect the Kings to win this battle.

Against the spread

PASS.

At these odds, I’d rather take the Kings to win outright.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 226.5 (-112).

Simply put, neither team is great at offensive rebounding, and there isn’t a superstar scoring option in this battle.

More importantly, both organizations sit outside the top 10 in pace, which suggests this should be a slow-paced game, especially with the Heat’s style of play.
