Miami Dolphins inactives for Week 3 vs. the Jaguars

The Miami Dolphins are a little less than an hour from kickoff, and we now know which Dolphins on the 53-man roster will not be suiting up for today’s game. The Dolphins shared the inactives list approximately 90 minutes before kickoff in Week 3.

The inactive list features the same usual suspects for the Dolphins — the team will be without both young rookie wide receivers in Lynn Bowden Jr. and Malcolm Perry; raw athletes who are still acclimating to playing receiver at the NFL level. Miami will also be without standout cornerback Byron Jones, a development that should not come as a surprise to Miami after he went down on Sunday against the Bills with a groin injury.

The biggest inactive for Miami is definitely Jones — but his loss can be negated in part with Jacksonville’s biggest offensive weapon now set to miss the game. The Jaguars revealed earlier today that standout wide receiver D.J. Chark will be inactive for Jacksonville, which definitely helps to soften the blow of Miami missing out on having Byron Jones on the field. And at 0-2, the Dolphins should be ready and willing to accept any breaks that they can get as they look to get over the hump and secure their first win of the season in 2020.
