The Miami Dolphins are a little less more than an hour away from kickoff, and we now know which Dolphins on the 53-man roster will not be suiting up for today’s game. The Dolphins shared the inactives list approximately 90 minutes before kickoff in Week 14. The Dolphins will catch an unfortunate break today against Kansas City, as several key defenders will not dress today.

The inactive list features the disheartening absences of LBs Elandon Roberts and Kyle Van Noy, both of which were non-participants for the majority of the week of practice before returning on Friday. Roberts left last Sunday’s win over Cincinnati with a chest injury, whereas Van Noy has played the better part of the last month with a hip injury that has presumably worsened to the point in which the team is protecting his long-term availability despite his importance for this week against Kansas City.

Of Miami’s remaining inactives, RB Salvon Ahmed and OG Ereck Flowers are not overly surprising. Ahmed has battled a shoulder injury and he, along with RBs Myles Gaskin and Matt Breida (reserve/COVID-19), is out this week — which will leave the Dolphins’ backfield shorthanded. Flowers, like Roberts, left the game against Cincinnati with an ankle injury. Miami seemed to find some life even without Flowers in the final possessions against Cincinnati; so the situation on the interior line will be a fascinating experiment for Miami to see if the new solution (which features rookie OG Solomon Kindley at left guard) has any long-term upside.

Miami will kickoff from Hard Rock Stadium at 1 PM EST  in search of their 9th win of the 2020 season and further boost their playoff aspirations for the 2020 postseason.
