The Miami Dolphins are a little less than an hour and a half from kickoff, and we now know which Dolphins on the 53-man roster will not be suiting up for today’s game. The Dolphins shared the inactives list approximately 90 minutes before kickoff in Week 13.

The inactive list features a disheartening blow to the wide receiver room with rookie receiver Malcolm Perry not active for today’s game — although given his chest injury suffered early on in Week 12 against the New York Jets, it shouldn’t be considered too much of a surprise. His absence will push fellow rookie Lynn Bowden Jr. into a prominent role as a multi-tool threat. Bowden Jr. has had sparing flashes of potential this season as a ‘Wildcat’ triggerman early in the year and as a slot receiver working the middle of the field. He got his biggest role of the season last week once Perry went down, so expect a heavy dose of No. 15 today for the Dolphins’ offense.

Elsewhere, there aren’t many surprises. Running backs Salvon Ahmed and DeAndre Washington were expected to be inactive today alongside fellow back Matt Breida, who is on the reserve/COVID-19 list. The lack of available backs made the return of Myles Gaskin all that much more important for the Dolphins’ running game — expect a heavy dose of Gaskin today as well for the Dolphins.

Miami is facing kickoff from Hard Rock Stadium at 1 PM EST in search of their 8th win of the season. This is the Dolphins’ final “soft” game on the schedule, so the team will need to make sure they’re mentally focused to secure a win and position themselves well for the playoff push.
