Miami destroys Milwaukee in fourth quarter, takes 3-0 series lead on Giannis and the Bucks

The Heat outscored the Bucks 40-13 in the fourth quarter.

Midway through the third quarter in Friday’s game against the Heat, the Eastern Conference’s top seed had finally seemed to rediscover itself, with Giannis Antetokounmpo getting to the bucket at will. The Bucks entered the fourth quarter with a 12-point lead in a must-win game. What followed was an unmitigated disaster that could have major ramifications for the future of the franchise

Led by Jimmy Butler, the Heat outscored the Bucks 40-13 in the fourth quarter, overturning a double-digit deficit to win by 15 points. The Heat took a 3-0 series lead, meaning the Bucks will have to become the first team in NBA history to come back from a 3-0 series deficit to avoid an embarrassing exit from the playoffs.

To make matters worse for Milwaukee, Antetokounmpo may not be at 100 percent. Antetokounmpo tweaked his ankle in the first quarter on Friday, and could be seen grimacing throughout the game.
