Mavericks sign former TCU guard Mike Miles Jr. to two-way contract

Miles is averaging 12.2 points, 2.8 assists and 2.5 rebounds in four summer league games with the Mavericks.

Mike Miles Jr., who went undrafted this year out of TCU, signed a two-way contract with the Dallas Mavericks on Friday, the team announced.

Miles was named to the All-Big 12 second team last season after averaging 17.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.2 steals in 27 games. He was the first Horned Frog since 2009 to earn three all-conference selections and the first to do so in the Big 12.

The 6-foot-2 guard debuted in the NBA Summer League and is averaging 12.2 points, 2.8 assists and 2.5 rebounds on 48.6% shooting from the field in four games. He has scored in double figures three times, including a summer league-high 19 points on Wednesday.

Miles will split his time next season between the Mavericks and the Texas Legends in the G League. He is eligible to spend no more than 50 games in the NBA and will earn a flat salary equal to 50% of the minimum salary applicable to a player with zero years of service.
