Maurice Jones-Drew mocks OT Andrew Thomas to Giants

In his first mock draft as an NFL Network analyst, Maurice Jones-Drew has the New York Giants taking OT Andrew Thomas in Round 1.

Retired NFL running back Maurice Jones-Drew is now an analyst with NFL Network, which is great news for anyone who enjoys a fresh perspective from a former league talent.

Earlier this week, MJD dove head-first into the mock draft waters and compiled first of the new year. In it, he has the New York Giants selecting Georgia offensive tackle Andrew Thomas at No. 4 overall.

Thomas played both left and right tackle at Georgia. He will help fix Big Blue’s O-line issues.

Thomas has been a common mock to the Giants since the 2019 season ended, but he’s far from a consensus pick.

And as a reminder, here’s what our friends at Draft Wire have had to say about Thomas:

Thomas has the look and build of an elite offensive lineman at the next level. He’s a long, quick, athletic blindside protector that should hear his name called very early during the 2020 NFL draft.

All NFL teams with a hole at left tackle would likely run up to the podium if given a chance to draft Thomas come April.

Although Thomas is not the consensus pick for the Giants, an offensive tackle is rapidly becoming one. How they all perform at the NFL Combine will determine their value and placement on Big Blue’s big board.
